Moakley Field is located in South Boston on Day Blvd., near the Bayside Expo Center. To map our location (Google, Mapquest etc), use the address 600 William J. Day Blvd., South Boston, MA. All of our home matches are held at Moakley, as well as our bootcamps and (occasionally) practices. For information on our current practice location and schedule, please visit this page.

If you'd like to participate in a practice, please bring suitable outdoor workout gear - sturdy shorts or sweatpants and a shirt you don't mind getting dirty, and cleats if you have them. If you decide to join the team (and we think that you will!), you'll need a full rugby kit... but don't worry about that yet.

By Public Transportation

Take the T to the JFK/UMass stop on the Red Line. Once you are in the station, go up the stairs and take the corridor to Columbus Road; then, upon exiting the station, you will see a rotary on your right-hand side; cross the road (this is your first agility and speed test) to the spacious, interlocking sports fields. There will be a stone sign that says "Moakley Park." Make your way toward Carson Beach along the road; our pitch (that's rugby for "field") is located a couple hundred feet past the outdoor roller hockey rink.

Driving Directions

From I-93
Take the Columbia Rd. exit (exit 15).
If you are coming from the north, turn left onto Columbia Rd at the end of the ramp. If from the south, turn right.
Enter Rotary and take 2nd exit onto Day Boulevard.
Field is ahead on your left. Park in the second beach parking lot (on your right).
