Ironsides Players
A diverse and committed group of men

The men who make up Boston Ironsides come from wildly varying backgrounds both on the field and off. We have players just out of college as well as seasoned rugby veterans. Some of our members have been playing rugby for years, while others have only just started. We celebrate the differences that make us strong as a team, and look forward to continuing to add new diversity to our ranks. You can meet the players or learn about our club song.

Ironsides Merchandise
Be an athletic supporter!

The Ironsides offer a wide range of merchandise, from T-shirts and sweatshirts to mousepads and teddy bears! Most items are sold through our CafePress store. Additionally, seasonal t-shirts (from bootcamps, special events, etc) may be available; for more information, please contact Izzy at izzyberdan@gmail.com.

Sponsors
The businesses that support our team

We are always eager to talk to individuals and businesses who have an interest in contributing to our financial well being. Sponsors are welcomed to all team events, have access to team communications, and are entitled to publicity by the team. To find out more about our current sponsors, please click here. (During the winter months, you can find some of us every Friday night working the coat check at the Alley in Downtown Crossing. Stop by and tip generously!)

It takes a lot of money to run a rugby team. Donate to the Ironsides and you will have our undying gratitude! We're currently developing a series of "sponsorship levels," but if you want to throw money at us now, we would really appreciate it! If you'd like to make a tax-deductible contribution, please use the following button (no PayPal account required). We'll certainly give you the credit you deserve.

In Our Community
Helping to make a difference

Boston Ironsides RFC is a member of PrideSports Boston, an association of gay and lesbian sports clubs that aims to promote athletics for traditionally under-represented men and women. We also participate in public outreach programs: Ironsides members have volunteered at Waltham House (the first residential group home in New England designed specifically for GLBTQ youth) and attended the Fenway Community Health Center's annual Men's Event. We are always searching for other ways to get involved in the community; if you have any suggestions, please contact us!

Executive Board
Managing the team

First and foremost, Boston Ironsides is a team devoted to the game of rugby — but not everything can be accomplished during practices and games. The Executive Board is comprised of members, elected yearly, who ensure that our team runs smoothly both on and off the field. Your 2008 E-Board:
